Half-Day Fred
Fred, not quite as old as the rest of us, started fishing (in his own words) as a "wee lad". Fishing for snappers in the Baldwin Bay canals with long time friend Tony (which he still fishes with). Of all the crew on the MegaByte, Fred has the most potential (although seldom realized in numbers!). Fishing is about as important to him as it can be to a person. And he is ALWAYS open minded about techniques and opportunities. He spent a good deal of time freshwater (yuck!) fishing upstate NY catching Northern Pike and Small Mouth Bass. Other areas he's fished include: Florida (tarpon, snook), Cazumel (bonefish), Bermuda, Block Island, Martha's Vineyard, PA, Maine, New Hampshire & Vermont. In his own words, Fred enjoys all kinds of fishing, saying: "I pretty much enjoy it all....I get the same thrill from a long Bonefish run on a fly rod as I do from the thump, thump of a big blackfish at the reef." (I don't know how he would know what a big blackfish feels like!) All kidding aside, although family & work demands have kept him from fishing that much (hence the name "Half-Day"), Fred is ALWAYS welcome aboard the MegaByte and having him there makes the experience better for us all.
