Ronnie

The newest member of the Mega Byte crew, and possibly the bravest, no, lets go with craziest, and at 23, he's most certainly the youngest, is Ronnie. It must be his youth, but this kid has energy. Hell, he's even been getting up on time! He travels from all the way across the street to meet us at the boat and hasn't been late since that day we left without him (but still managed to fish with him!) A few weeks ago we decided to take a much needed swim while the temperatures soared around 90. Ronnie climbed the 10 foot tower of the MegaByte and dove into the 65 foot depths of the Atlantic beach reef. 5 times! On July 4th we went blue fishing for some shark bait to be used on the 6th. Ronnie was high hook that day (using my lucky rod!) and even proved himself on the gaff. When we got to the dock, Ronnie was put in charge of grinding the bluefish while I filleted them from the bone. He did this without one complaint (although I think next time we'll bring the grinder on the boat and fill in the blank time with this ugly task). On the 8th, Ronnie was ever diligent chumming and chunking all day without even a minor break in the slick.
He told me that a friends grandfather who apparently likes no one said: "If life dealt Ronnie a bunch of lemons, he'd make lemonade from them."
I agree. He's a good kid to have around especially when there's a task to be done or when he sprayed Allan with Ice water on the way home from sharking on Saturday.
