Well, it was too good to last. Week after week we've been having a blast catching bass after bass all by ourselves. This morning as we approached our spot, there were no less than 30 boats fishing there! 2 weeks ago, the "NO TIME" legendary for catching bass, came by awfully close as he passed us. I suspect he took the numbers and jumped on the spot this morning. Because of his reputation, a fleet gathered. Another interesting note is, Ronnie missed the boat this morning. TWICE! (we went back for our chum bucket). But his brother caught up to us on the middle of the channel and Ronnie hopped on board! Well, the fishing was OK, Actually good, but we've been spoiled. 20 good sized bass in all. 3 in the 36" range. Several others in the 30+ range, about 10 keepers and 10 shorts (we kept 5). Once we ran out of chum, it was hard to keep the bloated stripers around, so we switched over to fluke. Fished them for 2 hours and ended up with 10 (5 keepers). With the moon tide, it was rough. 10 ounce sinkers in 60' of water!!!! But there were plenty of fish and about half of them keeper size.
A great day with great company (3 non-regulars) it was a fantastic day (tangles and all!!! (right Ronnie?? :)
