The morning was calm as we set out to Jersey/Staten Island at around 8am on the MegaByte maiden voyage of 2004. We passed by Roamer
thinking we could find better fishing further towards Raritan Bay. We set up in the largest fleet and over the course of 3 hours managed
to pick 6 fish. After a quick lunch, we picked up and worked out way back to the Roamer light. Once at anchor, the wind began to howel!
Still, the fishing was pretty good and the size better too. We managed another 24 fish there and towards the end of the day Mark reeled in a
25" stripper caught on his worm and a flounderhook. A few minutes later, the captain did the same only his fish was 30". At the end of the
day, flounder high hook was the skipper with 10, Tommy had 9, The Silver Fox had 6, Mark had 4 & Steven had 2. Not a bad start to the season!
