A rough day wind-wise and a short one too as Allan had to be back by 3. So we tried to stay tight to the inlet. Well, there was a dragger
working Debbs but this has traditionally been unfruitful. So with a negative attitude we made 4 or 5 drifts behind him. Although I had a decent
runoff, we decided to try to the west. We ran all the way to Breezy Point in short hops with nothing exciting us. We tried chumming an old
hotpot from years past but got nothing but trashfish. So with an hour left in the day we went back to the inlet and figured out the fish.
Soon Allan & I both had our keepers in the boat and began to catch and release. In an hour we had 8 nice stripers.
